A lot of women dread the thought of skimpy outfits due to a fear of showing cellulite, a condition very common in adult women regardless of age and size. Also called orange-peel skin and cottage cheese, cellulite appears worse when the person has more fat cells. For women with cellulite, showing skin is a big no-no. In worse cases, cellulite is the reason for self-confidence issues. This is why it is important that affected women learn to deal with it in order to get over their fear.

According to a survey, women who have cellulite see themselves as less unattractive than females who have no cellulite. The study conducted by a cosmetic, aesthetic, and medical laser company also revealed that 90 percent of the women surveyed said they were disturbed by the condition. Out of the number who admitted insecurity due to their cellulite, 76 percent stated it makes them feel unattractive.
Why Exercise Can Keep Cellulite Away
Cellulite is far too often a source of embarrassment for nearly all women, regardless of age and size. The dimpled and lumpy appearance keeps around 9 of 10 women from donning shorts and bikinis. Cellulite is a common occurrence caused by fat deposits that deform the connective tissues of the skin, causing the orange-peel appearance. But despite its prevalence, cellulite can be reduced with regular exercise, especially when coupled with a good diet.
Practical Ways to Reduce Cellulite
Majority of the female population are hounded with dimpled, lumpy skin or otherwise known as cellulite. Most consider it a nightmare, especially when there has yet to be a long-term remedy for it. Also called the orange-peel skin, this condition affects women of any post-pubescent age and weight. Even when a permanent cure is yet to be discovered, there are several ways to reduce the appearance of cellulite and some habits that can prevent the condition from developing further.
